What a week this has been. I travelled all the way to Devon and back to see my Niece in the show Kinky Boots and it was well worth it. I was also flooded with memories of travelling to south Wales back in my youth when I was at the Welsh College of Music in Cardiff. After all that travelling I have returned to child care duties as my daughter has recommenced work after her maternity leave. I am now a childminder for 3 days a week, a chore I welcome with open arms. In other news my 8 year old granddaughter has just received her first (purple) violin from Gear4music and is about to follow in her great grandad’s footsteps learning to play a stringed instrument. All in all it has been a good week, but not in terms of composition or Dark Horse Music admin. Fortunately life is like this and does not travel in a straight line, if it did it would be like a motorway journey, boring, featureless and a rush to the finish.
