Well, we had a great time in Scotland on holiday, but inclement weather persuaded us to come home a couple of days earlier than planned. This is not as bad as it sounds because it allowed me time to finish proofreading my up and coming Brass Tutor book Core Skills Brass. This has been a project many years evolving and the materials in it have been resources I have used in my own teaching since the 1990s. A number of years ago I decided that it would be a good idea to rationalise the content and include repertoire pieces to bring the whole thing together as a complete beginner’s course. I am days away from seeing this ambition come to fruition. Keep an eye on the Publications page for more information.
