I think this is the most tardy I have been in posting my weekly blog which is very frustrating. All I can say in my defence is that I have been busy with other things both family and business. I have too many irons in the fire sometimes and when something has to give it is usually the projects closest to me that get relegated to the bottom of the in-tray. That said, the old subconscious is always mulling over new musical ideas and I have a few worth pursuing for future compositions, but in the mean time I still have 2 major works to conclude in such a way as they can be published. My viola concerto has been in existence for nearly a quarter of a century as an orchestral work, I have plans to reduce the orchestral parts to a piano accompaniment. I also have a work in progress, perhaps best described as a Requiem, which is in need of revision. I have enough to be getting on with, just insufficient time.
