I can hardly believe we are already over 2 weeks into 2025, but on the other hand Christmas and New Year seem a long time ago already. Having said that a lot of things have happened in the last few weeks, and I am glad to be back to rehearsals with York Symphony Orchestra. I also took the decision to join a local choir and we will be singing Haydn’s Missa in tempori belli in May. It is a glorious work in my opinion and epic fun to sing. Every musician should have choral experience. Singing is the very essence of music and the aural skills singing develops are the bedrock of good musicianship, but you probably already knew that.
